Every shutter click is an opportunity to create art. No matter the subject, photography is about capturing the beauty, the sadness, the mysterious, the depth, the joy, the unknown of this life that surrounds us. Photography that transforms the viewer—in line with or differing from the intention of the photographer—is the ultimate art form. This is the philosophy that drives my work: to capture the story that I see through the viewfinder in that briefest of moments and to extend it into eternity by engaging each viewer to interpret that image.
Whether I’m capturing a landscape, an individual or life in its stillness, I am moved by what I see and I capture it in hope that the viewer will bring to light what I have missed.
All of my photography is as natural as possible: with minimal artificial light, staging and choreography as the situation allows.
