Every shutter click is an opportunity to create art. Whatever the subject, photography captures the beauty, the sadness, the mystery, the depth, the joy, the hidden in life. Photography that moves the viewer—to see what the photographer saw OR or to see what the photographer missed—is the ultimate art form. This is the philosophy that drives my work: to capture an experience of life that I see through the viewfinder in that briefest of moments and to extend it in time by sharing it with the viewer.
Whether I’m capturing a landscape, an individual or life in its stillness, I am moved by what I see and "what I hear." I capture it so the viewer can engage with that image as he or she is called to it.
All of my photography is as natural as possible: with minimal artificial light, staging and choreography as the situation allows.
